
Famida graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master's in Speech Language Pathology in 2002. Famida spent 5 years working for Capital Health providing speech and language therapy services to pre-school, school aged, and adult clients. Famida initiated the Capital Health "Neighborhood Chat" program in Leduc. The program was geared towards adults with speech and language impediments resulting from a stroke.
Famida has made numerous presentations to groups such as day home providers, teachers and parents, on key techniques and best practices for speech and language development. Famida currently provides services to schools in rural Alberta utilizing videoconferencing technology.
