Express Yourself Group Program:

This group has helped my child learn social interaction skills, develop his language, and learn new words. He is now able to respond to me when I ask him something. My son looks forward to going every week to his friends.

Parent: Amritpal Sandu. April, 2009

My son has learned to say "hello" in the circle. This is very important for him because he usually doesn't want to greet anyone. The children learn a lot from each other. The story time, and the secret snack really makes them talk. I am glad that my son can attend. He really likes it.

Mingle and Move:

Amazing program! It is unique, and it offers children a chance to watch peers model the skills they need to learn. This helps to improve their communication, and gives them ample opportunities to learn and solidify many basic skills that are overlooked in other settings.

Parent: SM. April, 2009

Over the years, Dominic has flourished in the Mingle & Move program. He has expanded his vocabulary and sentence structure. And he engages with the other kids... what a difference the program has made for him!

Little Fables:

Our son likes to act out the play, and retell the story, and loves the songs. Good job!

Parent: Linda Lanctot

This group and the whole experience has helped my son in so many ways. Ben has gained so much - his confidence has exploded! This group has shown Ben that he is not alone and his spirits are lifted with each session.

Parent: Judith Wilson. April, 2009

This has been a fabulous group for my son. He really enjoys coming every week. I have seen him generalize things from the group to every day situations. Keep up the great work!

Little Fables has been an excellent program and it has helped our child to develop his language skills and learn perspectives in different roles. Sandy is an extraordinary speech language pathologist!

Parent: Anonymous. May, 2009

My son attends a group program on Saturdays. Recently the speech language pathologist used puppets in the class, which captivates my son's imagination. We now have a large cardboard box in our living room, with a window cut out and covered by a sheet. He placed a chair inside and attached a lamp so he can sit down inside and perform a puppet show at home.

CHATTER:

The children in this program are diagnosed with autism, and are between the ages of 9 and 13 years. Most children are fully integrated in school. They have learned to make friends, and they participate in a range of community activities.

CHATTER group is the most awesome place to be because you get to visit and hang out with all your friends. I’ve learned how to talk nicely to my friends and talk nicely to others and to have fun in games. Now I know that problems are not always a big deal.

Student: Holly Zhuang

During the past few years, I have noticed I have made a lot of new friends. And everyone has helped me learn new things. I have learned spy stuff and how to be a detective and how to freeze in a picture and I really like learning the new games.

Student: Justin Vung

It’s hard to pick one thing I like about CHATTER because I like everything about it. I’ve learned there is social wonder and wonder world. I learned about thinking of you kids and “Just Me” kids. I’ve learned about people who care about each other and when people don’t get along well.

Student: Zahary Lofgren

When I come here I learn to be polite. I learn how to participate in a group. I try my best at playing games with my friends.

Student: Myron Ho

We’re the originals. Me, Myron, and Zach were the ones that gave birth to the CHATT group. My favorite part is hanging out with friends like my buddy Nicole. I have learned not to be a loud mouth, and I learned how to communicate with people and how to be nice.

Student: Christian Otto

I like playing and seeing friends. I have learned about a whole lot of stuff like how to play and how to take my movement breaks.
